Hvorfor ønsker du å stille til valg? I want to run for office because, over the past year, many discussions within the international student community have highlighted that USN does an excellent job supporting its students, and this support is truly felt. However, we have also agreed that international students could be more actively involved in decision-making processes, especially considering that there has been no international student representation on the International Committee.

With my background in institutional relations and student representation, combined with my experience working closely with university leadership, I believe I can help bridge this gap. As an international student myself, I understand the challenges, needs, and expectations of this community, and I am motivated to take international student representation at USN to the next level.

Fortell hvorfor du egner deg i dette vervet: Since my undergraduate studies in Colombia, I had the opportunity to serve as President of the Student Council, which has given me solid experience in Student Democracy. Being an international student gives me a unique closeness that can be beneficial both for students and for the university, as it allows me to accurately convey students’ needs based on empathy and by putting myself in their place. I know what it means to be an international student and to arrive in a new country, leaving everything behind.

Among my qualities are leadership, responsibility, and direct communication. I do not hold back when there are concerns or dissatisfaction, always acting within the framework of diplomacy and respect.

Engelsk tekst: My name is Camilo Briceño, and I’m a Colombian international student currently studying a Master’s in Sustainability Management at USN.

I’m passionate about sustainability, social impact, and being involved in student life. I really enjoy meeting people from different cultures and helping build a strong sense of community at the university.

Back in Colombia, I served as President of Student Councils, which gave me valuable experience working closely with university leadership, participating in decision-making processes, and engaging in constructive negotiation on behalf of students.

Outside of my studies, I’m a runner and a proud cat owner, both help me stay balanced and motivated. I know what it feels like to move to a new country and start from zero, which is why empathy, openness, and inclusion are very important to me.

Through my candidacy, I hope to be a friendly, responsible, and approachable representative who truly listens to students and helps make the student experience at USN even better.
