Speak Up
Speak Up is a digital system for reporting issues relating to the learning environment at USN. This could concern issues relating to teaching, faults or defects in rooms/equipment or injuries and accidents, or if you have experienced bullying or suspect harassment, discrimination and other censurable conditions. Your report will be treated confidentially.
SSN Councelling Services
The Student Welfare Organisation (SSN) offers students free counselling sessions with psychologists and therapists if you need someone to talk to. Sessions can be held digitally or in person on campus.
Health Reimbursement
If you have high medical expenses related to health or dental care as a student you can apply for a refund from SSN. Remember that you need a receipt for the medical expenses you are seeking reimbursement for.
The Student Chaplains
USN has two student chaplains who are available for conversation regardless of faith. The student chaplains are used to meeting people in different life situations and will meet you where you are. What you are concerned about is the starting point for the conversation. They have a duty of confidentiality and the counselling sessions are free.
The Student Ombudsperson
At USN we have our own student ombudsperson whose job is to safeguard students’ rights and to ensure a fair and correct case-handling process in student cases. The student ombudsperson can provide advice and give assistance to students who are unsure about their rights and obligations in matters concerning their study situation (admission, examination, practice, complaints, learning environment, prosedures, whistleblowing, harrassment etc.). The ombudsperson is autonomous, impartial and confidential.
